Don't be fooled by inferior test-prep providers who sell cut-rate classes and ask you to entrust your child's future to an independent-contractor-instructor without even a single perfect score on the SAT.

Think every test prep company is the same - that a discount prep provider can give your child the help they need? Think again.

Take a quick look at some of our competitors' minimum SAT score requirements - the score you need to be hired as an SAT instructor and teach their classes:

  • Kaplan: 1400
  • Princeton Review: No minimum
  • PrepScholar: 1500 minimum, 1540 preferred
  • Prep Expert: 1500
  • Clay Cooper of Cooper Test Prep: 3 Consecutive Official Perfect SAT Scores of 1600 within the last 6 years - and a perfect score on the new, Digital SAT.

The difference is clear.

Trust only the best - and watch as your investment more than pays for itself in scholarship awards and the proven, dramatic increases in life-long earning potential that come with an elite college degree.

  • What is the structure of the Master Class?

Each Live Online SAT Master class lasts for 8 weeks and includes up to 60 hours of live instruction from Clay Cooper – Cooper Test Prep's only instructor.

    Each Master Class:

    • for the first 7 weeks of the 8 week course, meets twice weekly, for 3 hours in each meeting (total of 6 hours of live class per week)
    • is recorded in full - every lesson - and those recordings are made available to students via their Student Dashboard.
    • includes homework assignment sets before every less - that's two sets of homework assignments per week, with the average homework assignment taking 1 to 2.5 hours.
    • also includes one fully realistic, strictly timed Practice Test each week - always a genuine, Official College Board SAT - delivered on Cooper Prep's cutting edge, custom built perfect replica of the College Board's testing app, BlueBook. Visually, our practice testing platform is virtually indistinguishable from BlueBook - but while BlueBook gives you very little data from any practice or genuine SAT you take within it, Cooper Prep's practice testing platform provides incredibly rich, detailed, layered and comprehensive feedback on every aspect of the student's performance - literally thousands of data points illustrating for the student exactly what went well and exactly what they must improve on.
    • includes, therefore, a total of at least 16 real, Official College Board Digital SAT practice tests, to which all Master Class students receive unlimited access to all of the se tests for the duration of their course and even after their course ends (at CTP's discretion and upon request)..
    • also includes at least 6+ real, Official College Board Digital Adaptive SAT practice tests that haven't even been released to the public - meaning that in our Master Classes, you will ALWAYS see brand new, real, adaptive Digital SATs straight from the College Board - even if you have already taken every test the College Board has released publicly.
    • So every week of the course, students:
      • complete and submit two homework assignment sets: one homework set due before each lesson the week
      • take a full-length, strictly timed, genuine and Official College Board Digital Adaptive SAT Practice Test.
      • submit any questions that occur to them outside of class time using the Question Submission Form on their Student Dashboard, and those questions are answered at the beginning of the next class.
        • In fact, this is how Cooper Test Prep is able to guarantee that every student in the class will always get a good, clear answer to every single question they ask.
    • Each homework assignment is also reviewed live in class after it is submitted, and each Practice Test is reviewed in class after students take it as well.
    • regular - and challenging - mastery checkup quizzes, in which the instructor assesses the students' level of mastery of their most recently discussed topics (and old topics as well).
    • These Mastery Quizzes give students ample opportunity to assess their own progress, identify problem areas, and move directly toward their goal score.
  • How is each Master Class lesson formatted?

In each Master Class lesson, the instructor begins by welcoming the students and going over the day's agenda with them. The instructor then collects all submissions to the question submission form since the last class meeting and answers each of those questions thoroughly.

Homework review typically follows the Submitted Question Answers; usually homework review begins within 15-25 minutes of the start of class. The instructor polls the students to determine what they most need help with as a group, and then the instructor shows them how to understand those troublesome items, one by one, answering every question the students have about them.

Next, Clay teaches a lesson, covering new material that the class has not yet learned. At the end of the lesson portion of class, Clay recaps the most important points from that lesson and often directs the students to a Mastery Quiz available on their Student Dashboard covering that topic.

Finally, Clay conducts Practice Test review for the last portion of class, polling the class to determine which problems from the most recent full-length, strictly timed, fully realistic weekly Practice Test he should go over. He explains how to answer those problems correctly and how to avoid common mistakes for each question, using his 16+ years’ experience and expertise to apply insights into student habits and common pitfalls they encounter. At the very end of the lesson, Clay reminds students of their homework due before the next class begins.

  • How do the students and instructor interact?

Students can see and hear the instructor through our online teaching platform's meeting application. However, students cannot activate their cameras or microphones under normal circumstances. Instead, students participate by chatting into the chat window within the meeting app. This approach dramatically reduces distractions for the students, leading them to learn more and to earn even larger score improvements.
